frejawhuut asked: Have J.K Rowling told anything about second generation, or is everything we know (the kids, the pairings) just something the fandom have made up?
I think it’s a mix of both. But what I post on here, I try my hardest to ensure that it is actual fact, not headcanon.

potteraangeragon asked: Hello. In your post of dumbledore you said that he was 150 years old when he died. He was almost 115, if you want check in the Harry Potter Lexicon or in the Harry Potter wikia Thanks for your amazing posts
There’s conflicting information about this. Rowling stated once in an interview that he was 150 when he died, yet in another interview, she stated he was born in 1881, which would have made him around 115 when he died.
I’m glad you like the post! :)

Sirius is derived from the Ancient Greek Σείριος, Seirios, meaning “glowing” or “scorcher”.
-
During Voldemort’s glory, Sirius never trusted Lupin, suspecting he was a spy. He trusted Pettigrew instead.
-
When he was at Hogwarts, Sirius, along with James, was immensely popular.
-
Sirius is a traditional Black family name, recurring in at least three generations.
-
Like this post for facts about Sirius. Reblog with another character’s name if you’d rather hear facts about them.
-
Also:
I’ve added custom links to the page so you can look up facts by the character. There’s no Harry page yet because I’ve been stupid and tagged all 1,000+ posts with “Harry Potter,” so I’ll have to figure out how to fix that.
But if you ever want to read about a character, you can always go to:

(firstname as in character’s first name and lastname as in their last name, for clarification)

I will be (hopefully) posting facts daily again starting this week… but first I need YOU to tell me who you would like to see facts about!
Send me an ask letting me know :)

PLEASE READ!!!!

(sorry the picture is kind of blurry) This guy is currently at a “no-kill” shelter in Rhode Island. His current owner is no longer able to care for him, and unless the current owner can find a new owner for him by tomorrow, this supposed “no-kill” shelter is going to put him down. He is two years old. If anyone at all is interested, PLEASE let me know, and I will give you the contact information.
I know this has nothing to do with Harry Potter at all, but I need to get the word out about this dog!

Daniel Radcliffe is a Giants fan. Excuse me while I go cry in the corner.
-
livingthroughgrace reblogged your post: Alan Rickman wears black contact lenses for the role of Severus Snape.THEY CAN DO THIS BUT THEY CAN’T GIVE HARRY GREEN EYES?????????
Harry didn’t have green eyes because Daniel had a bad reaction to the green contacts they gave him.
